- I've been tuning my UUCP-g transfers via the Dallas CIS HUB.
-
- I'm using a Hayes Ultra with V.32 and V.42 error control (compression disabled)
- UUCP-g is set to 7 windows of 512 bytes.
-
- Every once in a while, I get checksum and bad header messages on
- packets received from CIS. Since I'm using V.42 how can I get data errors?
- I've already checked for flow control problems on my end, so the only
- think I can think of is the CIS<>UUNET link isn't error corrected.
-
- On packets to UUNET, I have a lot of timeouts. Does CIS have flow control
- with UUNET? Is the CIS -> UUNET path lower bandwidth?
-
- What's the scoop? (BTW I'm getting ~850 CPS inbound, ~300 outbound, so
- I don't have THAT much to complain about.)
