  19. Nope.  CVI-Carrboro seems to be somewhat enlightened.  No descrambler
  20. required for 2-36 standard service nor HBO.  When I subscribed 3 years ago
  21. they explicitly asked if I had dable ready gear, and a recent channel-list
  22. insert marks off those that are cable-ready.  One of the other premiums is
  23. also done with traps (as HBO).  Some premiums are scrambled; don't get any
  24. of those so I wouldn't know.

  26. As far as utilities, Carrboro looks like the place to be:  no cable box
  27. (unlike Chapel Hill), Southern Bell (not GTE like Durham), Duke Power
  28. (not CP&L).
