  17.      Yes, I admit it.  I gave Alfvaen the inspiration for the
  18. "name the rank-and-file of talk.bizarre" contest, because the
  19. term I had been using, to wit, "almostlikenewonlyusedbyalittle
  20. oldsysadminwhousedhimorhertoposttotalkbizarreandacoupleofaltt
  21. typegroupsbie," was just too darn cumbersome.  He agreed, and
  22. has apparently decided to post it.  I didn't, because until
  23. today I haven't been able to read news (the quest for rn here
  24. at Saint Mary's was interrupted by the hospitalization of the
  25. man responsible for its implementation, so I've been forced to
  26. join the ranks of the scary and desperate at Nyx) and because,
  27. as he said, nobody likes my contest ideas anyway.
  28.      That said, I find it amusing that Matt Welsh suggested
  29. "loser," because he'd fit into this category once he leaves
  30. the realm of the newbies.
  31.      The above, of course, begs the question of whether or not
  32. he's a loser now, which I cannot answer, having had so little
  33. opportunity to read anything of his until now.
  34.      I would be honored to have the new term named after me,
  35. but I must concur with Alfvaen, adw is _the_ yardstick against
  36. which talk.bizarre's middle-class must be measured, or at least
  37. hit with.

  40. I used to use, but it has news and I have an account.  I hate
  41. the editor, though, so if this post is gibberish, hey.
