- I did not write in Kibo for president as I had indicated I would do. I
- did however write in Kibo for mayor of Monterey CA. This because the incumbent
- ran unopposed and that smacks a little to much of totalitarianism for my
- taste.
- On the other hand, Montery is one of the few cities in Northern CA with
- a budget surplus, no service cutbacks, and tax increases, so maybe he is
- doing something right after all. Anyway, he was re-elected
- overwhelmingly.
-
- Likewise I did not vote for Bill Clinton. Instead I voted for Andre
- Marrou.
-
- I would like to say in retrospect that, had I the prescience to
- foresee the wailing and gnashing of teeth that Clinton's election
- engendered in all the pink, whitebread, conservative, fundamentalists
- in the military, I would have gladly cast my vote for him.
