  14. It has recently come to the attention of some of us that while there are well-
  15. defined terms for both newcomes to talk.bizarre("newbies")and long-time
  16. residents(patrons?)of talk.bizarre("oldbies"), there is an astonishing lack of
  17. term for the transitional period in which, let's face it, most of us
  18. languish.  Any ideas?  Or is there a term of great tradition with whose usage I
  19. am unfamiliar?
