- If this is the case why does God often end pregnancies before they
- come to term, or even before there is any awareness that the woman
- was pregnant at all? Is this God's will? Then who is to say that
- abortions aren't? Abortions are an interception of God's will? Why?
- Evidently, God is deciding whether or not the egg gets fertilized,
- so contraception is part of his plan. Like most people, Bonhoeffer
- was saying "Because God wants it that way," as a stand-in remark.
- His real belief is, "Because *I* want it that way." I would have
- liked to have been able to take him to task for this idiotic
- remark.
