  24. You have yet to prove, however, your implications that "emotional and 
  25. psychological health" is in fact an open door to allowing third-trimester
  26. abortions for any reason whatsoever. Yes, I'll gladly admit, for the sake of
  27. argument, that the RvW court "passed the buck" of the third-trimester 
  28. decision to the medical establishment. But they did so KNOWING that the 
  29. medical establishment is self-regulated by steadfast principles thousands of 
  30. years old, and that doctors will exercise prudent and informed judgment in 
  31. these matters. There is no slippery slope, Doug. There is no explosion of 
  32. unnecessary third-trimester abortions, or, at least, you have been singularly 
  33. unsuccessful in proving that such an explosion exists (have you found more 
  34. than three doctors who perform third-trimester abortions?). It's POSSIBLE for 
  35. such an explosion to occur, sure, but I have no reason to believe that it's 
  36. happening right now.
