  21. A long time ago, it was illegal for Jews to farm, own land, or travel.  They 
  22. were restricted to money lending and the professions.  They were good at it.
  23. They were disciplined not to waste money.  They tended to have stable marriages
  24. and were educated - literacy amongst the Jews during the dark ages was virtually
  25. 100%.  So they prospered.

  27. Even today, there is antisemitism, so to compensate, Jews are willing to go the
  28. extra distance, work harder, smarter.

  30. I predict that Asian immigrants will soon have the same reputation, for much the
  31. same reasons.
