- No, no, no. You misunderstand. McElwaine ripped off Star Trek w/his FREE
- ENERGY TECHNOLOGY<tm> article. In this one, he rips off from Japanese anime.
- The particle beams and psychic resonance whatchamacallit are from Mobile Suit
- Gundam. The Neutral Particle Beam that caused the tidal wave near India is
- similar to the Wave Motion Gun from Spaceship Yamato (called Starblazers in
- this country) and the a-grav drive is from any number of anime shows that
- lean too far away from reality or make up their own physics. I think the
- Cosmospheres sound similar to some spherical mecha I saw in Mobile Suit Gundam
- too. Then there's that stupid attempt to link "retirement" to "termination"
- a la _Blade Runner_. This guy isn't even original.
-
- Oh yeah, the Subcraft is really a toy from the GI Joe line.
-
- To think that someone told me that reading too much science fiction would do
- no good. Look here, I can find hoaxes by matching them with fiction. ;-)
-
- I could slip in a parody of this article if anyone wants me to waste the
- bandwidth. Maybe not.
