- This sounds as if it might be a mollusc wart. My stepson had quite a big 'un
- some years ago. A local German skin specialist doctor diagnosed the problem
- as an "artery under the skin about to burst " (yes, really !) and sent us
- to a hospital in a hurry........the doctor there just laughed when he heard
- the skin doctor's diagnosis, gave the lump a big squeeze, and what happened
- next was interesting (in a gross sort of way). He then disinfected the hole,
- and it was gone in a few weeks. I believe it's basically a virus infection
- which results in a cavity under the skin which fills up with dead cells and
- fats, and other substances. Feels quite hard, with a tender point on the skin.
- You could always give it a little squeeze yourself and see what comes out.
- (One tip: stand well back when doing this !)
