- The _Science_ article compares animal studies of ritalin, fenfluramine
- and MDMA; no damage from ritalin was observed even at high dosage.

- Fenfluramine did about 4x as much damage as MDMA, is my recollection.
- Again, sorry I don't have the cite but it was Science, late 1980s. The
- study did mention the longterm weight loss study using fenfluramine that
- just saw publication in May '92, as well as some other ongoing studies.

- I gather the worry is that, as people age and lose brain cells in normal
- aging, any damage that happens may begin to become apparent.
