- Perhaps this news group can help ....
-
- There is a lot of discussion in another news group about
-
- Fermat's "Final?" Theorem
-
- For all integers n > 2, there is NO integer solution for
- n n n
- A + B = C
-
- I have heard conflicting stories that
- 1) A proof does not exist and Fermat died leaving behind a message
- "remarkable proof!" implying that he found a simple proof.
- 2) A proof DOES exist but it is very complex. Thus, Fermat's simple
- proof either eludes us or his "remarkable" proof was flawed.
-
- Can anyone in this news group help? Any recent news about this?
-
- THANKS in advance!
