  22.     If I seemed to be whining, I apologize profusely.  I consider 
  23. myself very lucky because I survived the system, with my goals and dreams
  24. intact.  I've had many friend, however, who were not as lucky.  For them,
  25. let me make the point, students should be able to realize their full
  26. potential with the full assistance and support of the educational system,
  27. rather than having to fight it tooth-and-nail all the way.  The word
  28. "graduate" should sound a lot less like "battle-worn veteran."
