- There is a Michael Weinless, Ph.D., dean of the math department of
- Maharishi International University in Fairfield Iowa, who will go down
- in my personal history as editor of a "scientific" journal that
- had (1) an exposition of John Hagelin explaining that the yet to
- be found unifield field theory is the same as the Unified Field (regd.
- trademark of T.M.) of Maharishi and (2) a very long exposition by
- a retired Indian lawyer who, having learnt his mathematics at the feet
- of Maharishi, proved FLT, basically by observing the contradiction that
- the half open interval [0,1) lacks a rational point (so is irrational),
- but has a rational length, hence contradiction. (There were two more
- whacko proofs.)
- Mind you, this "scientific" journal has two screenings for papers:
- first three referees and then the editors themselves.
