- You're doing just fine. I service cordless phones - the
- proceedure I use is to spray a paper towel with CONTACT CLEANER
- (alcohol has some oils in it) and rub the keys on it. The fact
- that you get several 1's indicates it does work.

- You might test for cracks by powering up the phone while the
- keypad is apart and jumping across the 1s contacts with a
- screwdriver. Keypads aren't too expensive. What brand/model. I
- might have one in stock.
