- Recently I lent my Sony Watchman to a friend and gave him the wrong
- power supply. The poor TV got 15 volts instead of 6 volts and the
- polarity was reversed. Apparently the TV was not protected against
- this with a diode and so some serious damage was done. The visible
- effect is a surface-mounted device that is now mostly carbon. It
- would seem that the damage might be predictable and perhaps fixable
- if one had a schematic. I don't. Does anybody out there have access
- to service information such that they could help identify what might
- have happened to this TV? Thanks in advance.
