- Many articles discuss the possible dangers of using Berillium. However
- much more likely to me is the risk of getting poisoned with CuO, the
- most frequently used conductor in electronics. If you have Cu, and there
- is oxigen in the air or in the water, isn't there a good chance to get
- CuO ??
-
- I am particularly interested because I use an 'electronic` sterilizer
- for my swimming pool. A current through a pair of underwater copper
- electrodes, dissolves Cu-ions into the water. There they form Cu(OH)2
- that sterilizes the water (no chlore needed anymore). Is there no danger
- with this method. Couldn't get an answer from a chemist yet !
