- I have a few spare televisions lying around and was wondering if it was
- possible to wire the inner parts of a television to the input of a
- VGA monitor so that I could watch television through the monitor.
- I don't have much experience with televisions or VGA monitors, but my
- basic hypothesis would be to find the red, blue, green, and sync signals
- in the TV and "plug" into the vga cable. There are various
- multimedia and TV cards available ($200 and up) which display TV and
- other crazy functions, but I would like to build one cheap. Does anyone
- have specs for the VGA signals? I know there is a chip available which
- converts VGA-NTSC, but I'm looking for the reverse. Any hints before
- I blow up my monitor?
