- Yes, you're right; I suffered a temporary mental lapse. The IR tubes ARE
- a good deal cheaper; I picked up two (horribly obsolete) Vietnam vintage
- tubes a few years back for $70 each. They require a fairly powerful IR
- illuminator to work, though. I keep hoping the cost of MCP-based devices
- will drop......

- on the Saudi black market for $1600 per; guess a few boxes of 'em fell off
