  11.   Yes, you're right; I suffered a temporary mental lapse.  The IR tubes ARE
  12. a good deal cheaper; I picked up two (horribly obsolete) Vietnam vintage
  13. tubes a few years back for $70 each.  They require a fairly powerful IR
  14. illuminator to work, though.  I keep hoping the cost of MCP-based devices
  15. will drop......

  17.   Incidentally, I've heard that US military image intesifiers are availble
  18. on the Saudi black market for $1600 per; guess a few boxes of 'em fell off
  19. a truck......
