- I have recently had to attempt repairs on a camcorder but the problems
- were to numerous to correct with anything short of a main circuit
- board replacement. m The micro-proc controller is not reponding
- appropiatly (things are happening but they are not right), and the
- video modulator/demod (its all on one chip) near the u/p is also
- fried.
-
- This unit has just returned from a trip to Europe where it went
- through several airports (and I presume) the x-ray scanners.
-
- What I am wondering is what is the probability that the x-ray
- unit(s) may have fried the chips or is it more likely that travelling
- in some aircraft hold (possibly unheated and/or unpressurized)
- caused these problems. Or is it more likely that the various jolts and
- bumps may have caused at least two (and quite possibly more) seperate
- failures at the same time?
-
- Care to venture an opinion?
