  26.     You didn't specify whether you wanted to design digital (software)
  27.     or analog (hardware) filters, but if you meant digital...

  29.     I have used the book "C Language Algorithms for Digital Signal
  30.     Processing"; Embree et al, Prentice Hall.  There is a disk with
  31.     all the source included right in the book.  It worked well for me.
  32.     Not exactly public domain, but reasonably priced, all things 
  33.     considered.
