  19.         Good. Regulation of cryptographic products would probably suit
  20.         everybody. The government would appear to be "doing something"
  21.         and people who wanted secure communications could have it by
  22.         using non-product cryptography. Of course, the government
  23.         might make roll-your-own cryptography illegal. This would
  24.         justify truly outrageous measures to enforce the law ("Gimme
  25.         that notebook kid. - What are all these numbers, eh?.. eh?).
  26.         Whoever gets this one through should be nominated for the
  27.         Harry J. Anslinger Award.

  29.         How about the distinction of being the first person to go to
  30.         jail for selling secret encoder rings to school kids?
  31.  
  32.         It's hard to roll up a diskette to hide it in the shower rod,
  33.         but I guess we'd work something out... :-)
