- Can I ask you for your best guess on the question of the odds of
- collision? Marsden told a reporter one in 10,000, and that is what
- everybody has been quoting. Can you refine this number based on your
- calculation? Since your incorporation of the effects of outgassing
- moves the perihelion crossing earlier, the probability of an impact
- will get smaller-- but can you estimate how small? Even a handwaving
- approach would be useful.

- are to those of us who are not comet specialists?
