- Also bear in mind that if one is on the moon, one is likely wearing a
- spacesuit, including big, thick, well-insulated gloves, which will
- make your ETD (Effective Thumb Diameter -- that's a highly technical
- NASA term, so write it down) rather larger. Probably not by a factor
- of 4 (R_earth/R_luna), but coupled with Bruce's observation, more than
- enough to blot out the Earth.
