- Howard's book is pretty good -- in fact it was the book that really pushed
- me to complete my first telescope -- but the method of mirror testing
- in this book leaves something to be desired if you really want a good mirror.Texereau's _How to Make a Telescope_ (Willmann-Bell) is most likly tops
- in this field, but a hard read for most of us. Berry's _Build Your Own
- Telescope_ is my favorite if you want to build one of the standard
- designs that he talks about. And, of course the original _Amateur
- Telescope Making_ series can provide plenty of ideas and base information.
- These have been out of print for several years, but I understand that
- Willmann-Bell has attained the rights to them and plans to offer them.
- But, my favorite is a number of articles that appeared in _Telescope
- Making_ magazine, formerly published by Kalmbach (ASTRONOMY magazine).
- In the end, I constently refer to almost all of the above plus a
- couple of others on a regular basis.
