  13. I live on an island in the Penobscot river which is officially a
  14. game reserve.  The problem is that I tend to FORGET that it is
  15. hunting season when I go for long runs which take me off the
  16. island...at least I forget for a few moments.  Last year I set off
  17. for a twenty miler in blissful ignorance of the fact that it was
  18. murder month.  I was fine until I turned off the main road onto a
  19. ten mile stretch of dirt road.  When the gunfire started, which
  20. it did, I upped my pace.  Now this isn't really funny, but I ran
  21. pretty close to my 10 mile pr and easily broke 2 hours for the full
  22. twenty.  I think the best advice-lamentably-is only run where you
  23. KNOW you are safe, indoors.  Be careful out there...
