- Well, it is getting to be that time of year when your chances of having good
- flying weather on Saturday is slim. This summer has been such a good one
- though for flying -at least hear in Utah- that I can't let it end with our
- first snow storm. (Last Saturday was severe clear and not a hint of wind or
- clouds.) I have yet to try flying in near freezing weather but I really
- want to this year. What kind of problems am I going to run into with glow
- engines and all that cold air? Do I need hotter plugs? Do I wrap the engine
- to restrict airflow? Should I expect some problems with the radio? I'm not
- sure what the effective operating temp range of r/c equipment is.
-
- Also I would like some hints, advice, suggestions on flying off of
- ice, or snow. Anyone fly off skis?
-
- Still a blistering 50 in Provo, UT.
-
- Thanks
- Steve E.
