  14.  If you think it's siezed, remove all of the plugs, put it in neutral and
  15. turn it over by hand (OK, use a tool). If there's a center bolt on the
  16. crank pulley, put a breaker bar and socket on it and turn in the normal
  17. (CW) direction. Even a fresh engine will turn readily; an older loose one
  18. can be turned by hand if you have the grip.

  20.  Clean the battery posts and cable ends. Get one of those battery brush
  21. thingies that does the inside and outside; they're well worth the two bucks.
  22. Check the starter cable connections down below for corrosion/tightness.
