- I bought a Bel 990 radar detector. This detector operates
- with an internal 9V battery. It is capable of detecting all
- 3 bands (X, K and Ka). It cost $225.00 + 8.25% tax in NY.
-
- The problem is that I do not have any information regarding
- the performance of this detector, as compared to the Bel 966
- or the Passaport. In the box of the detecotr, there was a
- marketing blurb stating that it uses DSP (digital signal processing)
- to analyse the incoming signal.
-
- If somebody knows what is the performance and if the DSP
- claim is true (what kind of processor they use?), please
- post or email.
-
- Thanks,
- Sergio
