  14. I bought a Bel 990 radar detector. This detector operates
  15. with an internal 9V battery. It is capable of detecting all
  16. 3 bands (X, K and Ka). It cost $225.00 + 8.25% tax in NY.

  18. The problem is that I do not have any information regarding
  19. the performance of this detector, as compared to the Bel 966
  20. or the Passaport. In the box of the detecotr, there was a 
  21. marketing blurb stating that it uses DSP (digital signal processing)
  22. to analyse the incoming signal.

  24. If somebody knows what is the performance and if the DSP 
  25. claim is true (what kind of processor they use?), please
  26. post or email.
