  14. With the tranny war between Drew,Torque Monger(A. Tovornik),and others,
  15. thought I'd stick my neck on the chopping block.

  17. I think sticks are great if I'm driving a car with some oomph to it,or
  18. at least with a good horsepower curve('Stangs,F-bodies,the Dodge R/T's-Spirit
  19. and Daytona,'Vette,300ZX apply here--sorry if I missed your particular fave
  20. car). Otherwise--well--does nuthin' fer me. Now my RP has been practicing
  21. on my cousin's Hyundai,which is stick,and she's ecstatic. She enjoys the
  22. *feel* of shifting and the winding out of the motor. I can appreciate that.

  24. As for autos, I like them because I have to do ALOT of commuting through
  25. our nation's capital,and it's pure HELL doing it with a stick(IMHO--others
  26. are not as bothered). I enjoy my auto in my 3.0 V6 Acclaim,and when I feel
  27. a bit racy, I just give a quick pump to ye' olde throttle--and *poomph*--

  31. So,in conclusion, both transmissions have their benefits/detriments. 
  32. Though my RP likes stick, she likes driving my car because she can just
  33. floor the pedal and go(well,she REALLY likes the V6's power). Guess it
  34. depends on your taste.

  36. Next week, my 3.0 V6 Acclaim goes up against my pal's 3.1 V6 Cavalier Z-24.
  37. Yeah,yeah, I know the outcome, but I have a 3-spd auto with good shifts--so...
