- I've tried both methods, and using one of the forward gears is the
- one that works best with my probe (another mazda tranny). The bit
- with using neutral and declutching didn't seem to do anything at all.

- I typically have a problem engaging 1st or reverse if the car is rolling
- slightly. Using any of 2nd - 4th before going to 1st or reverse works
- wonders.
