  29. I've tried both methods, and using one of the forward gears is the
  30. one that works best with my probe (another mazda tranny).  The bit
  31. with using neutral and declutching didn't seem to do anything at all.

  33. I typically have a problem engaging 1st or reverse if the car is rolling
  34. slightly.  Using any of 2nd - 4th before going to 1st or reverse works
  35. wonders.
