- You didn't read my comments carefully. IMHO the only thing you can use the
- CU surveys for is to determine the weak points of a particular car models that
- were reported on. HOWEVER, this has no correlation to the percentage of
- the vehicles that will have that problem out of the total number of vehicles
- sold of that model. This is because the results were SOLICITED from CU
- readers owning such cars; and were not taken as a random sample of ALL owners.

- My theory is only a comment on the possible outcome that could result reporting
- data not based on reliable statistical sampling methods. As they say GIGO
- (garbage in, garbage out). Anyone who would use those frequency of repair
- charts to determine the most "reliable" car is fooling themselves.
