  12. Never had a rear windshield break, but I did have a driver's door
  13. window completely shatter for no apparent reason on my first
  14. used-car, which was a little Porsche 914.  It was the dead of 
  15. winter and I simply shut my door, and the glass window broke into a
  16. million little cube-sized pieces (must have been safety glass).  A
  17. neighbor who was watching thought it was very funny and she broke
  18. into hysterics, while I just sat there with my mouth wide open --
  19. wondering how much a new Porsche glass window was going to cost me.
  20. I think there must have been an inherent defect, which was further
  21. stressed by the cold....
