- Why not a new Mustang with IRS?
-

-
- An IRS FIREBIRD would be the ultimate! I agree.
-
- IRS has been on the production 'VETTE since 1963!
-
- I think GM is saving this from the F-car to keep
- the 'VETTE exclusive. The new F-cars are getting the
- base Corvette motor, BTW. Imagine a car that performs
- as well as a 'VETTE, rides nice, and has enough
- room for two adults, one child and all their dreck...
-
- Conflict of interest. This would limit the lifetime
- of the Corvette as a marketable product. The only
- redeeming features left of the Corvette would be
- the 'glass body and the ZR-1 package.
-
- Hmmm. Why doesn't GM do it right and put IRS on
- the F-car, junk the base Corvette, and keep making
- the ZR-1 to make it really exclusive! :)
