- The type classification is not a quality classification. It simply indicates
- what kind of base material is on the tape. It's easy to make a poor quality
- type II (or even type IV) tape if you so choose. Hundya (sp) and Lincoln
- both make sedans. Which one is better? Typically (in this case) you get
- what you pay for. The Maxell XL-IIs is a very good type II tape.

- Also, some tapes work better with some players. Try a few brands to see
- which works best with yours.
