  21. The type classification is not a quality classification.  It simply indicates
  22. what kind of base material is on the tape.  It's easy to make a poor quality
  23. type II (or even type IV) tape if you so choose.  Hundya (sp) and Lincoln
  24. both make sedans.  Which one is better?  Typically (in this case) you get
  25. what you pay for.  The Maxell XL-IIs is a very good type II tape.

  27. Also, some tapes work better with some players.  Try a few brands to see
  28. which works best with yours.
