- When I cut holes in mdf, I use an adjustable hole saw to make a
- template out of a small piece of 3/8 inch wood.
- Then I tack it on to the baffel board and use a carbide tipped
- router with a bearing as a guide. I have never used 3/4 mdf
- but I know if you are cutting holes in 1 inch mdf you need to
- use a large router with a 1/2 inch chuck ( I think I used a
- 5 horsepower router ) or the router will slow down to much and
- burn the wood. It makes a very clean hole.
