- The title says it all. My trusty 20 year old Dual 1229 turntable is
- suffering from old age. In particular, I need a motor in good condition,
- as mine has developed a very noticable bearing rattle despite the fact
- that I disassembled it and relubed it. I could also use another cartridge
- shell, idler wheel, plastic cam for the anti-skate spring, and other assorted
- plastic parts (most of which have rotted or cracked). Hopefully someone
- out there has a broken 1229 gathering dust in an attic which I might have
- for real cheap. I'm not willing to spend much money on this as it's
- ultimately a losing battle and I mostly listen to CD's anyway. Many thanks,
-
