- A long time ago, I had desired to ask a question of mssrs. Niven & Pournelle,
- and looked them up in the appropriate edition of Who's Who. There were
- perfectly reasonable addresses in the book. Not something that looked like
- this: P.O. Box 11177 NY, NY, but: more like 1234 Shady Tree Lane, Suburban
- Town, CA. It is possible that either mssrs. Donaldson or Gibson would respond
- to a question if sent directly to them. However, they could also be inundated
- with fan mail, and forward it all to some hapless drone at the publishers or
- the trash can :-).
-
- Has anyone had any luck getting there with surface mail? Is there good reason
- to believe that some/all of these folks are buried with piles of mail that
- starts with: "I've got this great story I want to get published that just
- needs the right person to read it, and I've decided you're that person..."

- when everyone is out to get you, being paranoid is just good thinking.
