  16. I am enclosing the info on the FTP site for you.

  22. to access it one types

  26. If one is using the internet, some bitnet accounts allow one to access this.
  27. otherwise there are bitnet servers for FTP, someone with more information,
  28. please explain how these are used.

  30. Once one has connected it asks you to log in- please use "anonymous" to
  31. log in, not "guest" or your own userid, it will then ask for your address
  32. as a password, this information is kept confidential- my boss just requests
  33. it so he can keep  track of usage.

  35. Then, you are in the root directory of the machine, at the moment there is 
  36. naught else available at this site, though apparently that will shortly
  37. change.

  39. Meanwhile, the following is the routine to reach the section with the files:
  40. cd pub
  41. cd local
  42. cd text
  43. cd vampyres
  44.  
  45. Underneath this directory are a number of other directories:

  47. Digests   Fluff   World   pics
  48.  
  49. there is also one file here: Readme
  50.  
  51. Under Digests can be found old digests of the list from Jae, who will
  52. hopefully soon be uploadingn the full archives to here.

  54. Under Fluff is the old Fluff Archives. One copy of the archives.txt is
  55. available in the next directory.  Then all files are sorted into
  56. alphabetical subdirectories.

  58. Under World:

  60. SKT    Storylines    Digests    volumes

  62. There will soon be a Readme file added here, I haven't gotten around to that 
  63. yet.

  65. The SKT directory is currently just a bunch of SKT's, eventually I hope to sort
  66. these into 3 directories: Mortals, places, Immortals 
  67. these will be self explanatory- files here are stored as:

  69. sktname.authorname
  70.  
  71. Storylines: all the stories with authors name, broken down into sections
  72. are here.  This is to make it possible for one storyline to be followed at a
  73. time. These are title.#.author
  74.  
  75. Digests: these are the logs that Morgan is sending me each few days
  76. of the discussions on the list.
  77.  
  78. Volumes are the stories as they went out to the rest of the Vampyres list.
  79. These will shortly be removed once I have the storylines section completed.
  80. I will place in that section a file with a liting of what was in each issue
  81. of Ravenscar Nights.
