- Then, also, thanks for your comments about driving and the like. I guess
- you most certainly have more of a reason to feel the emotions when it comes
- to the car than perhaps I would under the circumstances. It's funny, I mean
- kind of strange though, because when I was a teenager, many of the sighted
- instructers at the rehab for the blind suggested privately that the blind
- guys consider marrying sighted women for, they said, obvious reasons. The
- few blind teachers we had, of course, would not have agreed with that
- philosophy. When I met my wife-to-be, I really wasn't interested in her
- because she was blind and I figured I had enough blind problems of my own
- without added her's to mine. I was certainly wrong and now after being
- married to the same blind woman for almost twenty-one years, I'm sure happy
- I didn't listen to that stupid advice.
