  19. Jaron Lanier, who coined the term, 'Virtual Reality' in 1984 will
  20. present a three-hour session, "Q and A with Jaron Lanier," as a
  21. part of CSUN's Eighth Annual, International Conference, "Technology
  22. and Persons with Disabilities," on March 17, 1993 at the Los Angeles
  23. Airport Marriott Hotel between 1:15 and 4:15 PM.  Lanier is the
  24. Founder of VPL Research, Inc.  He currently holds the title of
  25. Chief Scientist of that same organization.

  27. The full conference extends from Wednesday, March 17 through
  28. Saturday, March 20, 1993.  The 1992 conference drew 2,200 participants
  29. from almost every state and 22 foreign countries, 300+ speakers
  30. and 102 exhibitors.

  32. Other sessions on Virtuaal Reality include a demonstration of he
  33. "Barrier-Free Wheelchair Design" project (VA Hospital, Hines, IL),
  34. and a panel led by Walter Greenleaf of Greenleaf Medical Systems and
  35. Ben Delaney, Publisher, CYBEREDGE JOURNAL.

  38. the single session with Jaron Lanier is $75.
