  13.  Hi!  I have a rather old NCR 1632 here... it's a nice machine, really, but
  14. i'm looking to buy something a little more robust. It's not a mainframe,
  15. by any long shot, but as a personal workstation to learn the ins and outs
  16. of unix administration, this has been invaluable. It's a 68000, and it
  17. runs ATnT SYSVR2.02.something..it's an NCR package, value added.  It has
  18. a  couple of really nice, features, thou..

  20.  The best is that it uses (cheap) MFM drives for space, so you can add
  21. in more if you need it. 
  22.   The next best is that if you boo boo, it's got a rom-based menu
  23. driven installation that will allow you to reformat the drives, recompile the
  24. kernel, etc... all the tough tasks that make life so..hellish if you 
  25. make a mistake, it can do for you.

  27.  I have all the manuals, all the books, etc...
  28.  I'd like to sell it to upgrade the PC on my desk.

  30.  Without a hard drive (installation copy and complete filesystem
  31. on floppy disk) i'd like to get about 370 dollars for it, with a terminal.
  32.  If you want the two 46 meg MFM drives that i put into it, i'd like to
  33. get about 500ish for it....
  34.  please let me know.. Everything works just fine. Well, everything except the 
  35. tape drive, and that's cause i compiled the kernel without the 
  36. CPIO drivers...i wanted the memory. You'd simply need to recompile it to
  37. get it back up and running.

  41.   NCR 7901 terminal (it's not vt100, but it's good enough to run vi and 
  42.         anything else on..)
  43.   lots of serial cables
  44.   1/4 inch tape drive, 20 meg capacity uncompressed
  45.   6 or 8 1/4 inch tapes for the drive...3M taps
  46.   ATT SYS5R2 unix, all docs, all system docs, every piece of paper you'd
  47.     need to work with.

  49.   2 46 meg  MFM drives....that's optional, remember. :)
