-
- Not sure how it's a free speech issue. But I'm not certain what you
- want to do.
-
- Are you volunteering to travel to everyone's residence who is trying to
- sell a computer and verify that they are selling manuals and and disks?
-
- I don't see how else you're going to accomplish this mission.
-
- And then what about the new Apple Macintosh's our school is selling that
- come with free software loaded on the disk, but no manuals or disks.
- Why even IBM is selling computers with OS/2 loaded this way.(they might
- have a small manual)
-
- As far as selling older versions of software. I don't care about this,
- and it's not a violation of copyright law. It's a legal copy.
-
- I've got software without manuals, and I've got manuals without disks. If
- someone besides me might have a use for that, I'd certainly be glad to
- give these to them.
-
- But like anything, it should be clear what the buyer is going to receive.
-
- Besides, I'm not going to start burning people for piracy until the
- software companies stop trying to charge me $70 for a stupid computer
- game. I'm kind of selfish, I feel my wallet is much more important than
- the wallet of some software company.
