- I have what turns out to be a pretty good number of digiboard 8/e's
- which are surplus to my needs. They are an 8 port intelligent
- serial card for 16-bit (AT class or greater) ISA bus machines.
-
- Intelligent means that they have an onboard CPU to offload
- communication overhead from the host. They use one IRQ for
- the entire board and 64k in the HMA.
-
- There are drivers availiable for DOS and most commercial UNIXes. You
- can download them for free from digiboard's BBS.
-
- The cards have never been used, are in factory packing, and have the
- manual & warranty card (5 yr).
-
- The "outputs" are 8 RJ-45 connectors. You need to fabricate/buy
- RJ-45 (phone clip style) to DB-25 if that's what your serial device
- uses. These are commonly availiable.
-
- $200/ea plus COD shipping.
