  12. Just a couple of lines to let you know how things are going:

  14. [1]  In regards to the TRASH utility for Scan-B, I went ahead and
  15. created
  16.      an "artificially" generated Scan-B datafile of 500+ records.  I
  17.      actually went as high as one thousand records to REALLY blow
  18. things
  19.      out of proportion--figuring if a crash were going to occur, it
  20. would
  21.      do so at this outrageous amount of records.  Well, despite
  22. everything
  23.      I tried, I could not get the datafile to wreck itself.  Therefore
  24.      I am going to venture ahead and remove the "TRASH" warning that
  25.      warns against using the utility with large files.  Feel free to
  26.      use the utility with confidence once again.  Just be sure to make
  27.      back ups of your datafiles so that in case this happens again
  28.      (however it did the first time), you won't have lost any time
  29.      or effort.  By the way, one thing that came out as a result of my
  30.      testing is the knowledge that Scan-B will only hold 500 records.

  32. [2]  I do have a higher version of Scan-B that needs to be tested.  If
  33.      you are interested, let me know via this network.  The support BBS
  34.      no longer is maintained due to technical difficulties with the
  35.      phone system here at the University of South Florida.  If you want
  36. to
  37.      help out, we need to arrange a transmittal date (to your system),
  38. and
  39.      some time of scheduled report.  I can't pay you anything, but I'll
  40.      barter some of your time for a registered version of the latest 
  41.      Scan-B (which will be the one you are testing).  The most notable
  42.      feature of the latest Scan-B version is the sorting time.  I have
  43.      improved it dramatically!  Let me know!
