- Here are some items from our RACES checklist, plus a few more as a result of
- lessons learned from Hurricane Andrew. Obviously, a lot of this stuff is geared
- to a warm weather climate, but there may be others on the net who live in
- warmer areas.

- Two meter HT with extra bateries, ac adapter, charger, microphone
- Adapters for various power sources- cigarette ligter, locally agreed upon
- standard connector, etc.
- External antenna- ground plane, small beam
- Extra coax cable

- 110 volt extension cord and 2 prong to 3 prong adapter
- 110 volt to 12 volt DC power supply
- spare fuses
- RF adapters- BNC to UHF, etc.

- If you are going to be operating from a shelter or a widespread disaster area
- and you won't be able to go to "civilization" to sleep and eat, prepare to
- live in a shelter.
