- Whenever I get a new piece of clothing that is colorful, I wash it the first
- time with a fair amount of white vinegar. I don't remember where I picked
- up this habit, but someone told me that it "sets the colors". I do know that
- the clothes do not fade as quickly as non-treated clothes, and they don't
- seem to leak dye either.
