  26. ...and this is WHY it is "normal."  Since you personally are not paying
  27. the full bill, you feel a littel miffed at getting ripped off, but
  28. aren't REALLY worried about it because the insurance will pay the bulk
  29. of the fee.  The doctor knows that, which is why he can inflate your
  30. bill with impunity.

  32. All the hype about "revamping the health cares system" in this country
  33. boils down to a simple truth:  when consumers are directly responsible
  34. for paying the cost of their health care, free market competative
  35. forces will bring that cost down.

  37. The LAST thing we need is some kind of socialized national health care
  38. system, either administered or [shudder] paid by the federal
  39. government!
