- Dennis if you are contacting an IBM BBS then choose the non graphic mode
- ansii and yes you can upload and download. Have the file you want to upload
- ready then press f1 it will ask for the file name and it will upload it. It
- pauses for a few seconds and then you will see machine language characters
- flowing across the upper half of the screen when it is finished it will
- prompt you and return you to the BBS.
- If you want to download have a formatted disk in the drive, press f3, again
- supply the file name and it will send it to you letting you know when it is
- finished. Be careful with the underline in a file name you can't easily
- reproduce it on the 64 so stay away from file names with that in it.
- Remember that you can only use 64 stuff no point in downloading ibm files
- they won't work. One other way to do it is to use the buffer by loading the
- file into the buffer and then sending the buffer to the BBS. This is good
- for text files but it has a memory limitation. You can also use the buffer
- to capture the material from the BBs, save it and view it later, but if you
- don't save it to disk it will be lost. Guess that's it for now. Carol
