- I haven't been able to come up with a scenario where this could
- occur assuming modern versions of Emacs and VM. By modern in
- this case I mean at least version 4.09 for VM, since it's been
- chmod'ing the primary INBOX to 600 for that long. The backup
- file mode should match that of the primary file; it does for
- version 18.58 of Emacs at least.
